Research interests

  • 3D Tissue texture analysis in various modalities (CT, MRT, etc.)
  • Unsupervised and semi-supervised learning of a visual tissue vocabulary by extracting the dominant structure of anatomical regions
  • Content-based image retrieval (CBIR)
  • Unsupervised learning of anomalies and pathologies
  • Machine learning in the medical domain based on large medical imaging collections (hospital-wide PACS systems)

Short CV

Andreas Burner finished his MSc in Computer Science 2003 and his MA in Mediation and Coaching 2007. 2001 he studied abroad in New York City. Since 1997 he works as a technical consultant and project manager on several projects around the globe. He joined the CIR group in 2009 and is currently engaged in his PhD studies.
